It was a cloudy november Monday morning on the „Ráckevei” arm of the River Danube. At six’o clock Ferenc Kracsál, the member of Carplove team caught his fish of a lifetime!
The fish was extremely strong. After 30-40 minutes fighting, he finally netted the giant common, Hercules.

When winter arrives most of the anglers put the gears aside and start planning the coming season. However some carpers do not hesitate to go and try their luck on catching some fish. Freezing weather and the bad weather can not stop these fanatic anglers. When the water’s temperature falls under 10 C and the air temperature is about 0 C, the behaviour of the carps is completely different from the regular. One sign of this is that the time of feeding shifts. They more and more eat around sunset and midnight.

The ars poetica and the philosophy of CARPLOVE.

The water means life and passion for us as well. Our favourite fish lives in our waters. It’s body, power and sizes amaze and enslave us. We would do anything to get these fish and their habitats the best protection.  The nice treatment with the fish is a very important thing and we would like to propagate this conception. Those peolple who think the same, agree with our philosophy and do or did something to protect carps and the natural waters all can be Carplove members.
